EKPLORASI DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBASIS LESSON STUDY UNTUK MENINGKATAKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR TINGKAT TINGGI DI PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract


ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya berpikir kemampuan mahasiswa di pendidikan tinggi. menggabungkan dua pendekatan antara Discovery Learning dan Lesson study untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang mempromosikan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Melalui serangkaian tahapan Lesson Study terdiri dari: (1) tahapan perencanaan (plan), (2) tahapan pelaksanaan (do), dan (3) tahapan refleksi (see). Dosen merancang dan melaksanakan pelajaran Discovery Learning yang melibatkan mahasiswa dalam eksplorasi matakuliah membaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa, seperti analisis kritis, sintesis, dan pemecahan masalah. Dengan adanya Eksplorasi Discovery Learning berbasis Lesson study dalam matakuliah membaca menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada keterampilan membaca Mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pada proses perkuliahan keterampilan membaca dikelas.

 

EXPLORING DISCOVERY LEARNING BASED ON LESSON STUDY TO ENHANCE HIGHER-ORDER THINKING SKILLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

 

ABSTRACT: The aims of this research by the lower order thinking skills of students in higher education. Combining two approaches, namely Discovery Learning and Lesson Study, to create a learning environment that promotes higher order thinking skills. Through a series of Lesson Study stages, which consist of (1) Plan (2) Do, and (3) See, Lecturer designed and conducted Discovery Learning lessons that involved students in exploring the course material. The result indicates the Discovery Learning based Lesson study is effective in enhancing students' higher order thinking skills, such as critical analysis, synthesis, and problem-solving. The incorporation of Discovery Learning-based on Lesson Study in a reading course demonstrates that students' higher order thinking skills in reading course has improved during teaching learning process with the lecturer.
