Abstract

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT OF THE CR2C (CONSTRUCTIVE RESPONSIVE READING COMPREHENSION) MODEL BASED ON DIGITAL LITERACY IN READING COMPREHENSION IN UNIVERSITIES

ABSTRACT: Indonesia is one of the countries that have low reading ability. 21st century skills are oriented to all things digital, as well as in terms of reading among students. The CR2C (Constructive Responsive Reading Comprehension) model is an interactive reading model that is aligned with a constructive responsive reading comprehension strategy in digital texts. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model with (collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/very fiying). This research produces a needs analysis, namely needs, deficiencies, and wants. The results obtained from this study are the ability to understand digital texts of Indonesian Language and Literature Education students at Kuningan University which is in the very low category (5.48). The highest comprehension competence lies in literal understanding, the lowest understanding lies in appreciation understanding. Based on the data obtained, there is no model that directs students to explore the information space and hyperlinks on the internet, as well as a guide to finding and determining a relevant and reliable source. From these results, a syntax model along with a description of the steps was compiled as a product that could later be developed by other researchers.
