Author Guidelines

  1. Articles written for JES-MAT include the results of research in the fields of mathematics and mathematical science. Manuscripts are typed in Times New Roman letters, size 12 points, 1.15 spaces in 2 columns, and A4 paper sizes. The length of the text is between 12-15 pages, and submitted online
  2. Name of the article writer, both individuals and teams, is included without an academic degree and is equipped with an agency address and placed below the article title. In the case of the manuscript being written by the team, the editor only relates to the main author whose name is listed first. The main author lists e-mail addresses and cellphone numbers to facilitate communication.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian or English with systematic and the following conditions: Title, short and solid, maximum 12 words for Indonesian articles; 10 words for articles in English, and each word begins with a capital letter, except the conjunctions (Capitalize Each Word) measuring 14 points; Abstract (Abstract), written in English and Indonesian (maximum 200 words / language), by containing the objectives, methods, research results; Keywords (keywords), words or terms that reflect the essence of article content (3-5 words), written under abstract with a distance of one line and typed oblique; Introduction (without subtitles) which contains the background and purpose of the study; Literature Review (contains a literature review of the variables in the study, for paraphrasing written citations), Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions and suggestions; and Reference List (only includes referenced sources), reference sources as far as possible constitute literature published in the last 10 years, and prioritize primary sources in the form of research reports (including theses, theses, dissertations, etc.) or articles in scientific journals and / or magazines.
  4. Referrals and citations use enclosed reference techniques (last name, year), for example: (Miller, 1993). Inclusion of sources in direct quotations accompanied by a description of the page number where the origin of the quote, for example: (Miller, 1993: 47) and typed in one space protrudes into the right 5 beats, flat left and right.
  5. The reference list is compiled in reference to the APA (American Psychological Association).
  6. All texts are reviewed anonymously by bestari partners (reviewers) appointed by editors according to their expertise. The author of the article is given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) to the script on the basis of recommendations / suggestions from partners bestari or editor. Certainty of loading or rejection of the text will be notified in writing.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
